Mission Statement

St. Andrew’s Foundation of Romania is a US 501 C-3, a nongovernmental organization (NGO) which is devoted to education and caring for street children in Romania.

v      We provide a safe, secure environment for impoverished children in our facility in Bucharest. In addition our staff provides tutoring, training in self-sufficiency, mentoring and spiritual guidance for those in our care.

v        We carry out our mission by supporting educational programs which successfully target this population, like the “Inapoi la Scoala’, Bucharest.

v        We send street children and other impoverished children to summer camp in Moldavia Province, and run a summer school in an Old Saxon Village in Transylvania Province. We also send street children to the Viata program in Straja.
 

Near-Term Goals
 

v        expand the summer school to fifty street children. 

v        expand the program which houses, cares for and mentors street children to fifty.

v        to purchase a new facility in Bucharest.

v        to implement an English language program for 20 Street Children.

v        expand the number of street children we send to camp and the Viata program.
